Damad Ali Pasha Turbe
A small hexagonal Ottoman mausoleum stands in the Upper Town of Belgrade Fortress. The present building dates from 1784 and preserves a layer of the site’s Ottoman history.
Pause at the turbe while crossing the fortress plateau: its scale and form differ sharply from the ramparts and gates nearby. The fortress operator traces rebuilding after damage during the First Serbian Uprising, making it a useful stop for reading the site’s changing rulers.
