Getting to Bergen
Bergen can be reached by air, rail, road and sea. The airport lies south of the centre, while the railway ends near the walkable core; compare the arrival point with your first stop.
Why go
The Bergen Line makes the approach from Oslo part of the journey, crossing mountain country before descending toward the west coast. Flying reaches Bergen Airport Flesland south of town, so an onward city transfer is still needed. Arriving by train puts you much closer to central sights such as Vågen and Bryggen.
