Zubizuri Footbridge
Calatrava's white arched footbridge links Uribitarte and Campo Volantín across the estuary. Crossing it gives a quick change of riverbank and a close look at Bilbao's newer bridge design.
The curved white arch makes Zubizuri a visible contrast with the older crossings upstream. Use it to move between the two riverbanks while noticing how its structure frames the estuary. The deck's later non-slip covering is a small sign of how the striking design was adapted for everyday use.
