Why go
An arrival at a downtown hotel and one at a resort along Boulevard Kukulcán have different destinations. Confirming the address, arrival terminal and meeting instructions before flying makes the transfer easier to understand. For a packaged stay, check whether airport transport is actually included in the booking.
The full story
Cancún International Airport is the air gateway for the city and much of the surrounding Caribbean coast. It sits south of downtown, away from the beach strip. The Hotel Zone extends along Boulevard Kukulcán, so the location of a hotel within that corridor matters when organizing an onward transfer. Before departure, use the airline’s information to confirm the terminal and the details on the ticket. Terminal assignments and flight arrangements can change; older airline lists are not a reliable basis for an arrival plan. If someone is meeting you, agree on the terminal and follow the airport’s current meeting instructions. For a prearranged transfer, keep the provider’s name and contact details available and confirm the pickup point directly. A package holiday may include airport transport, but the booking should say so explicitly. Distinguish the transfer you have arranged from offers for tours or sales presentations encountered on arrival, and settle excursion plans after reaching your accommodation.
Useful to know
- Confirm the arrival terminal with your airline and the pickup location with your transfer provider.
- Give your driver the full hotel address, including its location along Boulevard Kukulcán if relevant.
