From the Cancún World / Places
Playa Norte
Playa Norte wraps around the northern end of Isla Mujeres, combining white sand and a shallow shoreline with proximity to the streets of the ferry town.
The beach gives an island day trip a clear place to pause after the crossing from Cancún. Its northern sweep of sand and water contrasts with Punta Sur’s rocky headland, showing how much the coast changes across a small island. Staying near the ferry-town area also keeps the beach visit connected to other central stops.
What to look for

Shallow turquoise water close to shore
Useful to know
Allow separate time for the ferry and the walk from the terminal.
Check local flags and keep clear of boat routes; calm reputation does not guarantee safe conditions.
