Why go
This walk suits visitors who prefer reading stops, cultivated outskirts and a coastal outlook to a succession of museums. Santa Sofia gives a clear starting point in Anacapri before the longer lane walk towards Migliera. Slow down in the Philosophical Park to read the quotations among Mediterranean vegetation, then continue to the nearby belvedere, where the enclosed greenery gives way to southern cliffs and open sea. Return along the inland lane towards Anacapri and end among Piazza Boffe’s white houses. The outward and return walks both count towards the day. This is a lane-and-viewpoint outing; the cliff outlook is the destination, with no descent towards Punta Carena.
