The full story
Confirm the arrival point before booking accommodation or planning a transfer. Different operators may use a terminal near downtown, a curbside stop or a location farther from the Loop, and these can change. Save the address offline and identify the nearest staffed place or transit station, particularly for a late-night arrival. At curbside stops, weather protection and seating may be limited. Keep luggage together during boarding and unloading, then move away from traffic before arranging the next ride. City buses or trains may provide an economical onward connection, but a taxi or rideshare is often simpler with multiple bags. For departure, verify the stop direction, check-in requirement and boarding time directly with the carrier. Build a buffer for Chicago traffic, because an urban bus journey can slow considerably before it reaches the intercity stop.
