Temple of Hadrian
The Temple of Hadrian presents an arched façade and carved reliefs directly onto Curetes Street. Its compact frontage makes it one of the street’s clearest architectural pauses.
Look closely at the entrance and its relief program rather than judging the monument by size. The Tyche figure and foundation frieze give the façade a local story, while its position on Curetes Street shows how decorated buildings addressed people moving through the Roman city.
What to look for
An arched entrance faces Curetes Street.
Reliefs include Tyche and a foundation scene.
Useful to know
Study the façade from the signed street route; entry is unverified.
Pair it with the nearby Baths of Scholastica and Fountain of Trajan for a street-level sequence.
