Why go
Choose this route if a longer coastal walk appeals more than a relaxed beach circuit. The Interpretation Center gives the landscape a little context before the climb through Cerro Tijeretas. Beyond the hill, the marked trail to Playa Baquerizo becomes the main outing, with rough ground and a substantial walk back. Carry water and keep the beach visit flexible so the return does not become a rush. The allowance at Playa Baquerizo includes time to retrace the coastal section toward Tijeretas; there is no onward road pickup assumed here. Skip swimming if conditions are uncertain and give the terrain your attention.
