Dresden Zwinger
Dresden's Zwinger combines sculpted Baroque pavilions, a courtyard and major museum collections. Decide whether you want an architecture walk or a longer gallery visit.
The ensemble began as a setting for court festivities and still feels theatrical in its gateways, fountains and pavilions. Today the Old Masters, porcelain and scientific instruments occupy its buildings. A courtyard circuit shows the architecture; adding a museum changes the pace and can take much of an afternoon.
