Gotland Museum: Fornsalen
An indoor introduction to Gotland through picture stones, archaeological finds and the Spillings silver hoard. The collections provide context before touring the island.
The displays connect objects found across Gotland with the landscapes and churches outside. Picture stones give a visual language to the island’s early history, while the silver hoard adds a Baltic trading perspective. It is a substantial alternative to another church visit and a useful anchor for a wet day in Visby.
