Why go
A large construction drawing incised into the north wall of the nave relates to the tower above. It brings the work of medieval builders into view alongside their finished architecture. The tower, heightened in the fourteenth century, became a navigation mark known as Lang Jaku and rises approximately 60 metres.
What to look for
- The north tower portal shows Saint Botvid lying on a fish.
- Medieval glass in the east windows is mixed with early twentieth-century additions.
- A locally carved cross with Mary and John dates from around 1400.
Useful to know
- Contact the parish office for interior entry; the parish walking brochure advises arranging access.
- View the tower from outside before seeking its construction drawing on the north nave wall.
