Why go
This walk suits visitors who want to understand Granada's two hills from street level before seeing them from above. The river corridor links San Gil y Santa Ana, El Bañuelo and the small Casa de las Chirimías without a long detour. Casa del Chapiz marks the turn into the Albaicín; the reward for the uphill section is the open view from San Nicolás. Allow time for the climb and for a pause at the lookout. San Cristóbal offers a different angle over the city if energy and weather permit, but the core route stands on its own.
