Rhodes Villages and Coastal Towns
Compare Lindos, Archangelos and Afandou with smaller coastal stops such as Haraki and Pefkos. These settlements are spread across Rhodes, so choose a few rather than treating them as one walk.
Why go
Choose between the historic lanes of Lindos, village life in Archangelos and Afandou, and the coastal settings of Haraki, Pefkos or Faliraki. The places are spread across Rhodes, so plan road travel and select stops that fit the day instead of attempting every town at once.
Useful to know
Treat these as separate area choices; allow travel time between the northern capital and island settlements.
Pair a town walk with one ancient site if time is limited.
The route, stop by stop
Times are planning estimates. Unknown visit durations start at an editable 30 minutes; access is checked separately.
Archangelos is an inland Rhodes town with traditional streets below a Knights-era castle. It offers a different setting from the island's beach resorts.
Gennadi combines a south Rhodes village with a long sand-and-pebble shore. Its mix of organised and open beach sections gives visitors a choice of setting.
Lindos joins whitewashed pedestrian lanes with an acropolis high above the village. The climb rewards history and Aegean views, but asks for time and energy.
Pefkos is a coastal settlement south of Lindos, centred on an organised beach. It suits a beach pause that can be paired with the historic village nearby.
