Acropolis of Lindos
The Acropolis of Lindos rises above the retained village of Lindos. The climb leads to the sanctuary of Athena and an outlook over the east coast of Rhodes.
Why go
The ancient sanctuary and later fortifications occupy the same steep rock. From above, the layout of Lindos and the surrounding bays becomes clear. This is a more demanding, exposed visit than a walk through the village lanes below. The climb itself shapes how the summit is experienced.
What to look for
Temple of Athena Lindia remains
Fortification walls around the summit
Views over Lindos and nearby bays
