Hakone Tozan Railway
A mountain railway from Hakone-Yumoto toward Gora whose steep climb and switchbacks make the transfer part of the visit. Boarding is possible at Hakone-Yumoto Station.
Ride for the railway experience itself: the train negotiates the mountainside with switchbacks while the landscape changes outside the windows. It also connects the lower valley with Gora, so it earns time even on a day planned around museums. The railway makes the terrain itself part of the itinerary.
