Peace Memorial Park Rest House
A prewar building within Peace Memorial Park, the Rest House links today’s visitor facilities to the former Nakajima neighborhood. Its survival is the central exhibit.
Why go
Before the park existed, Nakajima was a busy commercial district. The building’s continued presence makes that lost street pattern easier to imagine than a map alone can. Step inside for the interpretation, then look outward at the open memorial ground that replaced the old neighborhood.
