Daikin Park
Daikin Park, formerly Minute Maid Park, is the Houston Astros’ ballpark. A game or an available tour gives the visit purpose; the exterior alone cannot deliver the stadium experience.
The retractable roof links outdoor baseball with a stadium designed for Houston’s humid weather. The site also keeps a connection to the city’s railway past through the former Union Station, incorporated into the ballpark entrance. Together, those features give baseball fans more to notice than the action on the field.
What to look for
The retractable roof changes the relationship between the stadium and the open air.
The former Union Station forms part of the ballpark entrance.
Useful to know
Choose a game or check the official ballpark-tour calendar before traveling.
Confirm the available tour’s route and inclusions rather than assuming every stadium area is accessible.
