Houston Fire Museum
Visit a restored historic fire station with fire-service interpretation and a children’s activity area. The reopened museum currently emphasizes its preserved building, so expect a smaller exhibition offering than older descriptions suggest.
The former Station No. 7 makes the building itself part of the visit: masonry, woodwork and restored windows reveal the character of an early Houston firehouse. Families can add the Junior Firefighter Station, while architecture and history visitors can focus on the preservation work. Check the current exhibit offer before making a special journey.
