Kyiv River Station
Look at the former passenger terminal beside Poshtova Square for its ship-like architecture and riverfront setting. Plan this as an exterior architectural stop beside the Dnipro.
The river station makes Podil's connection with water transport visible in the building itself. Its mast-like tower recalls a steamboat, giving the terminal a clear identity from the waterfront. It is a useful companion to Poshtova Square's older postal building when comparing different forms of travel. Built in 1953–1961, it marks a later chapter in a waterfront long shaped by trade and steamboat travel.
What to look for
The passenger terminal's tower evokes a ship's mast or funnel.
The former transport building has been adapted for American University Kyiv.
Useful to know
Combine the exterior with Poshtova Square; confirm any interior access separately.
