Why go
Before the bridge opened in 1974, ferries were the islands’ essential link for passengers and supplies. The pier also handled Coloane’s fishery products and other goods. Today it gives a tangible starting point for the village’s maritime history and a short waterside view. Treat it as a historic landing, rather than a promise of a current ferry service.
What to look for
- Former ferry landing at the village edge
- Waterside approach to Coloane’s lanes
Useful to know
- Use it as the start of a Coloane village walk.
