Q'enqo
Q’enqo is a smaller rock-cut site near Saqsaywaman, with carved surfaces and passages that reward close attention. It fits a northern Cusco archaeology outing.
Why go
After the open scale of Saqsaywaman, Q’enqo shifts attention to worked bedrock and enclosed space. That contrast makes the stop worthwhile even on a short circuit, provided you slow down enough to see the carved details rather than treating it as a roadside marker.
What to look for
Carved rock and passages occupy a small limestone outcrop.
Useful to know
Combine with Saqsaywaman, but allow time to examine the carved rock rather than only the entrance.
