PR16 Levada Fajã do Rodrigues
A 7.8-kilometre return levada hike from Ginjas passes tunnels and waterfalls above São Vicente. The official three-and-a-half-hour route needs a half-day, including its out-and-back return.
Why go
Follow the irrigation channel from Ginjas through exotic woodland into Laurissilva, with glimpses across the São Vicente valley. The route reaches Ribeira do Inferno before returning the same way; the tunnels and two waterfalls make this a sustained trail experience rather than a short scenic stop.
