Why go
Use this extension to choose between Madrid's northern corridor and its eastern green spaces, not to force every stop into one walk. Pair Santiago Bernabéu Stadium with Paseo de la Castellana and Nuevos Ministerios for an urban-architecture thread. Alternatively, combine the Royal Botanical Garden with Atocha after a Prado visit, or give Parque del Capricho its own outing. Alcalá de Henares is a separate excursion and should replace, rather than follow, one of the city clusters.
Useful to know
- Use Atocha and the Royal Botanical Garden as an add-on to the Prado–Retiro area.
- Pair Paseo de la Castellana and Nuevos Ministerios with a Santiago Bernabéu visit if architecture or football is the priority.
- Keep Parque del Capricho for a dedicated park outing rather than adding it to a central sightseeing walk.
