Why go
Begin at Ta Pinu Basilica before following the road west toward Dwejra. Give the bay’s open rock landscape time on foot, with Fungus Rock as the visible landmark rather than the former Azure Window. The Inland Sea sits nearby and adds a sheltered lagoon behind the cliffs; any boat passage through the tunnel depends on current sea conditions and operator access. Continue by road to Xlendi Bay for a smaller village waterfront and a later pause. These stops are connected by transfers across western Gozo, so arrange transport first and keep boat time optional.
