Almoravid Koubba
The Almoravid Koubba is a small surviving monument near Ben Youssef Madrasa. Its value lies in seeing an early layer of Marrakech beside much later buildings in the same tight northern-medina cluster.
Why go
The domed structure is modest in size, but it preserves a rare fragment from the Almoravid city that preceded the better-known Almohad and Saadian monuments. Look at its geometric decoration, then compare its scale with the nearby madrasa and mosque. This short stop gives historical depth to a walk that might otherwise focus only on larger interiors.
What to look for
The domed form sits low among later medina buildings.
Geometric ornament survives on the structure.
