Bab Ksiba
Bab Ksiba is a modest southern gate tied to the Kasbah walls. It is most useful as a brief exterior stop while exploring Marrakech’s fortifications rather than as a destination on its own.
Why go
Unlike the ornate Bab Agnaou, this gate shows the more workaday side of the southern defenses. Seeing both helps you compare a ceremonial entrance with an everyday passage through the same fortified quarter. Keep the stop short and fold it into a walk that also takes in the Kasbah Mosque or Saadian Tombs.
What to look for
The opening cuts through the southern Kasbah wall.
Its simpler form contrasts with carved Bab Agnaou.
Useful to know
Link this brief stop with Bab Agnaou rather than making a separate trip.
