Jardin Majorelle
Jardin Majorelle pairs dense planting with a vivid blue Art Deco studio. It is a designed garden rather than a quiet wilderness, and the adjacent museum district makes it a focused visit outside the medina.
Why go
Jacques Majorelle shaped the garden around a long pool and mixed plants collected from many climates. His blue studio gives the greenery a striking architectural backdrop. Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé later restored the property, so the visit also connects painting, garden design and fashion history. Notice how cactus, bamboo and water change the feel of short paths.
What to look for
Majorelle blue walls stand beside tropical and desert plantings.
A long pool structures the garden’s central view.
Useful to know
Combine the garden with the nearby Yves Saint Laurent Museum if both interest you.
