Why go
This route is for visitors who want to read the city through its public buildings and finish with art. Begin outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and look across to the BMC Headquarters; the two facades make a useful pair at the same junction. Walk on to Horniman Circle Garden for a quieter view of the surrounding stone buildings. Jehangir Art Gallery gives the final stop a different pace and an indoor focus. Keep the BMC stop to the exterior unless you have separately arranged an official tour. Check the gallery programme before setting out, as the exhibitions change. The short links leave room to look closely rather than rush.
