Mahabouddha Temple
The terracotta temple is remarkable for its densely repeated Buddha images on brickwork. Reach it on foot from Patan Durbar Square through local lanes.
The Buddha motifs repeat across the terracotta tower, making the brick surface itself the main thing to study. The narrow courtyard frames the shrine closely, so this feels different from Patan's open palace square. Walk through the local lanes from that square and give the exterior detail time rather than treating it as a distant skyline view.
