Climb Utrecht's freestanding cathedral tower to encounter bells, stonework and a view across the city. The ascent is a physical visit with a clear architectural payoff.

The tower survived after the cathedral nave collapsed, leaving a landmark separated from the church it once served. Ascending through it reveals the structure and bells before the city opens out below. The climb adds depth to a view that is familiar from almost every approach to central Utrecht.
