The scale distinguishes it from Delhi's more polished garden monuments. Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq's fourteenth-century fortification still has heavy sloping walls, gates and traces of a citadel. Seeing the remains as parts of a once-planned city makes the walk more rewarding than searching for one intact building.
