Why go
Start at Notre-Dame de Paris on Île de la Cité, then walk to Sainte-Chapelle for the day’s principal interior. Continue past the Palais de la Cité and its optional Conciergerie before crossing the Seine into the Latin Quarter. The route then climbs toward the Panthéon, an optional second interior, and ends in Luxembourg Garden. It suits visitors who want medieval, royal and civic Paris in one progression. Allow time for the river crossing and the uphill section; keep only one of the optional interiors if queues compress the day.
Useful to know
- Prioritize Notre-Dame and the nearby Île de la Cité sites; make farther landmarks optional when the day becomes crowded.
- Check official visitor guidance for Notre-Dame before setting out.
