Nostalgia
Nostalgia shows a couple seated together and facing the sea near Pípila Street. Ramiz Barquet's 1984 bronze has a human scale and a documented place in the Malecón's early art history.

Ramiz Barquet's Nostalgia shows a couple sitting together on a bench and looking toward the bay. Stand at the side to see the seated pose in relation to the water, then notice how different the quiet human scale feels from the larger Malecón installations. Installed in 1984, this was the promenade's second sculpture and the first public work there fully financed by local residents, making it part of the walkway's civic history.
