Qingdao Electric Power Museum
The Electric Power Museum reuses the historic Dabaodao substation at the northern end of Zhongshan Road. Old meters, lamps, tools and documents trace the growth of electricity and its role in Qingdao’s changing everyday life.
Come for the small objects behind a major urban transformation. Old meters, lamps, tools and documents connect the technical history of electricity with the development of the port city. The former substation gives these everyday objects a fitting setting, making Qingdao’s changing domestic and industrial life easier to picture.
