Agathi Beach
Golden sand and shallow water lie below the hill of Feraklos Castle. Agathi Beach works well for a beach visit paired with a separate look at the fortress above.
Agathi brings a sandy, shallow shoreline into the same setting as the ruined Feraklos Castle. That combination makes the area more varied than a single beach stop: you can look up to the medieval hilltop from the water, then see the coast from the fort. The castle climb is a separate outing, so decide whether the day calls for both sand and ruins.
What to look for
Golden sand borders shallow water.
Feraklos Castle stands on the hill above the beach.
Useful to know
Check sea conditions locally before swimming.
Treat the climb to Feraklos Castle as a separate visit.
Allow roughly 100 minutes for beach time if combining both stops.
