Why go

This is a shore day for travelers who enjoy views and do not mind a steady walk. The city hall gives the eastern end of the bay a clear starting point. Move along La Concha Beach and its promenade toward Miramar Palace, then descend to Ondarreta before reaching the Comb of the Wind. Each stop changes your angle on the same sheltered bay, so the route feels continuous rather than scattered. The funicular is optional: it adds an uphill ride and a wider view if it is operating, while the sculpture is a satisfying place to finish on foot. Allow extra time if you want a long beach pause.
