Pass through Inmaculada Square between the cathedral’s north face and San Martiño Pinario monastery. The narrower setting recalls the pilgrim approach from the north.
Why go
This was a point of arrival for pilgrims entering the old town, and the north frontage recalls the former jet-working quarter. Its spatial role is different from Obradoiro’s grand arrival scene: the narrow approach helps explain how the Camino entered the sacred precinct.
