Seattle Japanese Garden
Seattle Japanese Garden is a 3.5-acre garden at the south end of Washington Park Arboretum, designed with stone, water, plantings and a reconstructed teahouse.
Why go
Seattle Japanese Garden gives the larger arboretum a more deliberate, close-looking experience. Completed in 1960 after a long planning effort, it combines carefully placed granite boulders with azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, mosses and ferns. The garden's location at the arboretum's southern end makes it a logical focused stop within a wider landscape walk.
