Washington Park Arboretum
Washington Park Arboretum is a Seattle public landscape of gardens, woodland and Arboretum Creek, jointly developed by the University of Washington, Seattle Parks and the Arboretum Foundation.
Why go
Choose Washington Park Arboretum for a longer, plant-focused walk that contrasts cultivated displays with heavily canopied areas. Azalea Way is its best-known spring feature, while the Seattle Japanese Garden occupies the park's southwest corner. The arboretum's setting between Union Bay, Montlake and Madison Valley makes it a landscape destination rather than a quick neighborhood park.
