Why go
This central Belgrade day suits first-time visitors who want several sides of the city and are comfortable walking between them. Begin with the ramparts and river confluence at Belgrade Fortress, then give the National Museum of Serbia a full visit rather than a quick circuit. Continue southeast to the Nikola Tesla Museum before finishing at the Church of Saint Sava. The museum stops break up the outdoor walking, but this is still the fullest route here. Leave room for a meal and confirm museum visits before setting out; do not compress both collections to add a distant excursion.
