Bubanj Memorial Park
Bubanj Memorial Park marks an execution site on a hill outside central Niš. Three large fist-shaped sculptures make it both a place of remembrance and a significant modern monument.
The memorial's abstract forms commemorate resistance and the people killed at this site during the Second World War. Its open landscape creates a different experience from the enclosed Red Cross camp. The relationship between the sculptures and the surrounding ground is central to understanding the visit.
