Lepenski Vir
Lepenski Vir presents the remains of a prehistoric Danube settlement beneath a protective structure. It is a concentrated archaeological visit along the Đerdap road.
The distinctive building plans and carved stones show a settlement very different from the Roman sites farther west. Interpretation helps connect the remains with life beside the river over several prehistoric periods. The protective building allows the layout to be seen as a whole before looking more closely at individual features.
