Rača monastery
Rača Monastery stands near Bajina Bašta on the eastern side of Tara. Its church and historical association with manuscript copying provide a cultural counterpoint to the mountain viewpoints.
The monastery is linked with the Rača school of scribes, which preserved and copied books during the Ottoman period. Its present buildings reflect later rebuilding as well as an older foundation. The visit works best as a focused monastery stop, with the surrounding valley adding context rather than a separate attraction.
