Soko Grad (Sokobanja)
Sokograd is a ruined fortress above the Moravica gorge near Sokobanja. The final rocky approach makes it a walking excursion rather than a casual town-centre stop.
The surviving gate and walls show how the defenses used a narrow ridge above the river. The landscape matters as much as the masonry: looking down into the gorge explains the site's position. Allow time for the approach and return, and assess the rocks before continuing upward.
