Šumarice Memorial Park
Šumarice Memorial Park preserves the landscape associated with the 1941 Kragujevac massacre. Its dispersed monuments require a longer outdoor visit than the adjoining museum alone.
The park is a place of remembrance rather than a conventional collection of sights. Memorial sculptures mark different aspects of the killings, including the deaths of schoolchildren. Walking between them gives a sense of the site's physical extent; the museum provides the historical context for that landscape.
