Tinkers Alley
Tinkers Alley is a short historic street now lined with cafés and restaurants. It offers a pause within central Niš rather than a separate neighbourhood to explore.
The surviving street recalls the craft quarter that developed during Ottoman rule. Its small scale makes details of the old houses and the transition to today's café use easy to notice. The sculpture of Stevan Sremac, Kalča and the dog Čapa adds a local literary reference to the walk.
