Why go

This open-air route suits visitors who want archaeology, plants and fjord scenery in the same day. Begin among the reconstructed buildings of the Iron Age Farm, then move through the botanical garden to the high view at Ullandhaug Tower. From there, a longer walk west leads to Swords in Rock, where the monumental sculpture marks Hafrsfjord’s historical associations. Møllebukta gives you space to rest by the water. Allow most of the day for the longer walks and breaks; continue to the Håhammaren shore path only if you have the time and energy. Carry what you need for the outdoor sections. Check access at the farm and garden; the viewpoints and coastal stops provide the backbone of the walk.
