Mahana Park
Visit Mahana Park for an open-air garden and beach access near the Punaauia–Paea boundary, with picnic space and a connection to Tahitian ceremonial life.
The park is known as a setting for te umu ti, the firewalking ceremony, but its everyday use is more relaxed. Picnic and play areas, a boules pitch and shore access make it a worthwhile public stop. The ceremony has its own dates and arrangements and should never be assumed to be happening.
