Elephant Mountain Trail
A short, steep sandstone trail above Xinyi leads to one of Taipei’s clearest views of Taipei 101. Come prepared for steps rather than a level city walk.
The trail climbs past tawny rock walls and large boulders to outlooks above the district. The mountain is close to the dense streets below, yet its trees and birdlife make the ascent feel separate. It is especially useful when you want a skyline view that includes Taipei 101 in the frame.
